We Love Animals!

The staff here at Creekside enjoys working with each and every one of your pets. It's rewarding and fun to get to know them and their unique personalities! Each and every one of the animals leaves a paw print on our hearts and we absolutely adore their unique personalities.

Your animals give us the encouragement and extra push we need through out the day. They are the ones who keep us going at work and also in our everyday lives! We can't thank you enough for letting us get to know you and your pet.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What pet-related experience does the staff have?  The co-owners are retired from the human medical field with a strong backround in medicine.  They are also experienced dog breeders and show their dogs in AKC conformation classes.  They are both educated in dog grooming and dog training.  The staff consists of Certified Pet Care Technicians (ABKA Certifications), all having ongoing continuing education classes while employed by CPR.
  2. How many staff members are there?  There are approximately 15 full-time, part-time and occasional staff members.
  3. What vaccinations does my pet need?  Dogs need current Rabies, DA2PP, & Bordatella vaccines.  Cats need Rabies & Distemper.  Please have your vet fax us the records or bring them when you drop off your pet.
  4. What about flea treatment?  We do not require flea preventative proof at this point, but highly recommend it's use on your pet for it's wellbeing.
  5. What items do I need to bring for my pet?  The only requirement is proof of vaccinations, we are able to supply everything else your pet needs during their stay here.
  6. Does my dog get to go outside?  Absolutely!  We believe exercise is a basic component of good care.  Dogs need to run, play and explore every day.  Exercise is included in our basic rates.
  7. What does my pet eat when it's boarded?  We highly recommend you bring your dogs normal food here to the facility.  This decreases stomach upsets and adds consistancy to their stay.
  8. Can I bring treats and toys for my pet? Yes, these items are OK, if you normally feed treats at home.  Chew Toys are preferred, again, chewing is a normal activity that decreases stress.
  9. Can I bring a crate for my dog?  Yes, if your dog is comfortable sleeping in it's crate we will place it in the sleeping area and leave the door open.
  10. Can I bring a bed for my dog?  Yes, but your dog may not treat his bed the same as when he's home.  Many dogs will chew on or "mark" their bed when here at the facility.
  11. Can my dogs be boarded together?  Yes they may be together.  We supervise behavior and if we see any aggression between kennel-mates, they will be separated.
  12. Will my dog learn bad habits at the facility?  We use positive reinforcement techniques to discourage excessive barking, jumping up on gates and people.
  13. I don't know how my dog acts around other dogs.  If the owner gives permission, we will slowly attempt to socialize dogs of the same size, age and temperment.
  14. My dog has never been boarded before.  We make the boarding experience fun for your dog.  It's is all about them and their happiness!  If needed, we will move a dog to a quieter location and spend more one-on-one time.
  15. Do I need to show proof that my dog and/or cat is on a flea prevention program? Yes.
